JOB DESCRIPTION

Longwang is an exciting new modern asian venue offering from the Tassis Group, one of Brisbane’s hospitality leaders. Longwang is currently under construction and due to open March 2024. The Tassis Group portfolio currently includes well-known venues Massimo, Opa Bar + Mezze, Yamas, Rich & Rare and FOSH.

Longwang’s share-plate menu has been designed by Executive Chef Jason Margaritis (sAme sAme, Donna Chang, Spice Temple), inspired by the cuisines of China and South East Asia.

  • Must have full working rights in Australia 
  • Can do attitude with willingness to learn

About the CHEF role

  • Flexible availability over a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Able to do stock control using computer systems training available if needed (not required but good to have)
  • Impos is POS system used

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Experience in a similar role working within kitchen brigade in a highly creative environment
  • A genuine understanding of Asian flavour profiles and techniques.
  • A true lead-from-the-front philosophy with a passion for all things hospitality
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously by having a highly structured and organised approach
  • Assist with recipe writing and sourcing new products
  • Ability to monitor stock levels and place orders accordingly
  • Strong standards of workplace hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Self motivation and the ability to collaborate with the Head and Executive Chef to create a progressive and modern pan-asian menu
  • Availability to work a flexible 5 day schedule including weekends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trade qualifications, food safety supervisor certificate
  • Current Australian working rights

This role offers a strong remuneration package that is dependent on the applicant's experience.
